Jack was born on October 1, 1929, in Plainwell, Michigan. He married Dolores Mae Schmelzer August 25, 1951, in Okanogan, Washington and they had five children together. Dolores died and he then married Rose Anderson on March 1, 1986, in Yakima, Washington. He died on January 15, 1996, in Prosser, Washington, at the age of 66.

Jack died when the plane which he was piloting crashed into a hill near Yakima, WA. No other details. He jumped at NCSB 1951-53.
