Smokejumper Smoked Imperial Porter Beer Available at 2007 Reunion

by Jerry I. Ogawa (MYL1967) |

The 2007 NSA Reunion Committee has put a thumbs up to having 15 cases
{180 bottles) of Smokejumper Smoked Imperial Porter Beer (SSIP) available for a souvenir or collectible item at the Reunion Raffle/Silent Auction.

SSIP is proudly brewed and bottled by the Left Hand Brewing Co.,Ltd., Longmont, Colorado, USA. It is brewed using a combination of several hardwoods and comes in a beautiful 750 ml silk-screened Belgium beer bottle. Roasty brown in color, the long-lingering smokiness wraps around flavors of sweet molasses, toasted malt and an earthy hoppiness. It is the "Official Beer of the NSA".

All the proceeds made from the raffle and silent auction of SSIP will go to all NSA efforts and just recently the NSA received $800 from Lefthand Brewing Co. for the fundraising efforts in December for the Art Jukkala Scholarship for children of fallen smokejumpers.

SSIP beer is a limited release brew and may not be available probably for another 2 years. Thanks for your support and see at the 2007 NSA Reunion June 8-10, 2007!
