AAfter a nine-year battle with renal cancer, Bill died November 20, 2001 at the Veteran's Hospital in Santa Clara, California. He rookied in 1949 and jumped through the 1951 season. Bill spent most of his life employed as a pilot, flying many years for the Wyoming Department of Wildlife.
