Sheryl was born May 10, 1938, in Washington. He died March 15, 2006, at the age of 67 and was living in San Diego, California. He jumped at NCSB during the 1958-59 seasons while working his way through Central Washington University. After leaving CWU, he taught nine different subjects from middle school to the University of Southern California. Between times he taught scuba diving, flew single-engine airplanes, and crashed a hang glider.

Sheryl has three master’s degrees and has written two books of poetry and three feature film scripts.
