Ivan, 78, died April 20, 1997, Murfreesboro, NC. He was born March 23, 1919, in Bridgeton, New Jersey and was a member of the Methodist Church when he was drafted into Civilian Public Service in 1941 from Riverside, New Jersey. His occupation at the time was listed as "Factory Worker." Ivan graduated from Pennington Preparatory School and had one year of college.

He jumped at Missoula during the 1945 season getting seven practice and three fire jumps. After the war he worked as a manager in the sawmill industry in Murfreesboro.
