Earl, 26, drowned in the Sacramento River January 24, 1970, in a rafting accident. He jumped at Redding during the 1965 season. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, August 28, 1943, and was a graduate of Shasta High School in Redding and a student at Shasta College at the time of his death. Earl was a Vietnam veteran. Earl was rafting in turbulent waters with John Breckinridge, 24, both members of the Veteran’s Club at Shasta College.
